Multi-Engine Flight Training


Multi-engine training at Eagle aircraft is done in N2882T, a 1972 Piper Seneca I, PA-34-200.

The Seneca I is a fuel injected airplane with 200HP, counter rotating engines. N2882T has 2 nav/coms and a VFR GPS. The airplane rents for $197 an hour inclusive of fuel on the block rate. 

An introductory multi-engine flight is available for $199. It includes 45 minutes to an hour of flight time with me on board, inclusive of fuel. This flight time can be logged as dual recieved in your logbook.

Multi-Engine Private or Commercial Pilot Add-on Tasks

 Flight training for the multi-engine private pilot add-on typically takes between 8 to 12 hours and includes the following:

- Normal and short-field take-off and landing
- Power off stalls, power on stalls, slow flight, steep turns, VMC demo
- Simulated engine failure during take off before VMC
- Simulated engine failure after lift off (500-600 ft at TLH)
- Simulated engine failure approach and landing
- Maneuvering with one engine inoperative
- One engine shutdown and restart above 3000 feet
- Emergency descent and systems/equipment malfunctions

Multi-engine instrument add-on for a single engine instrument rated pilot includes:
- Engine failure during flight (by reference to instruments)
- Instrument approach with one engine inoperative (by reference to instruments)
